The Sistema Nordest per l’internazionalizzazione project

The Sistema Nordest per l’internazionalizzazione project sees the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto Regions as promoters of a wide-ranging joint programme of activities

The Sistema Nordest per l’internazionalizzazione project sees the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto Regions as promoters of a wide-ranging joint programme of activities to support the internationalisation of Triveneto companies. The project launch event was held on 19 July 2021, live streamed from the digital room of the Padua Trade Fair.

The purpose of the agreement between the two regions is to maximise the synergistic cooperation between the actions of FVG and Veneto in the field of international economic relations and strategic infrastructure endowments in order to improve the process of internationalisation of enterprises through the implementation of a series of jointly identified and planned actions, which will have to take into account the objectives specified in art. 3, as summarized below:

a) elaboration and joint implementation of specific initiatives and projects concerning the sustainable economic development of the territories covered by this Agreement, as well as the improvement of the enterprise culture and of the quality of the production structure, also through entrepreneurial animation activities with the involvement of stakeholders and third parties in order to favour forms of partnership also public/private even on a transnational scale;
b) enhancement and support of the production sectors identified as primary by the parties involved in this Agreement from time to time;
c) design and implementation of promotional and information activities, with particular reference to multimedia, organisation of business support missions and other activities aimed at gaining knowledge of international markets;
d) identification and support of investment opportunities abroad by Italian companies, in particular SMEs, subject to the necessary positive repercussions in the national sphere, identifying as priority countries those from which the accessions referred to in the following article come. 6;
e) dissemination of knowledge on subsidised finance for enterprises;
f) attracting investment, particularly from abroad, to the North East.

Among other initiatives in the field, companies will be able to participate in a professional training programme to develop export and internationalisation in a digitally-enhanced world, with a special focus on cyber security and the logistics of goods and people. Internationalisation towards the Balkan area is a key element in the design of the ‘Sistema Nordest’, also with a view to shortening the supply chain following the pandemic crisis.

The subjects involved in the project guarantee a wide impact on the territory of the Sistema Nordest: in addition to the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Veneto Region, Finest S.p.A.Sprint FVGUnioncamere Veneto, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in Italy and the Croatian Chamber of Crafts of the Istrian Region, the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso and Belluno and Venicepromex are also participating.

The working group is destined to expand, with the entry of the Autonomous Province of Trento and the consequent definition of new common projects: the Sistema Nordest per l’Internazionalizzazione will thus be completed.
